Whether it’s living in fear of your next panic attack, being weighed down by the burden of worries, or finding yourself avoiding normal life situations, anxiety tends to take control. If you struggle with anxiety or chronic worry, you know that it’s not as simple as “just calming down” nor is it helpful to hear “don’t worry about it.” As a psychologist who specializes with clients struggling with anxiety, panic and worry in the Bellevue, Eastside and greater Seattle areas, I know this as well and I will work with you on more effective ways to take back control of your life.

I try to be flexible in addressing your concerns, but the foundation of my approach when working with you is Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), which research has shown to be an effective, evidence-based treatment for anxiety. Together we will develop a plan to get your life back. That plan will include things like identifying the negative patterns of thinking that fuel your anxiety and behavior patterns that keep the anxiety in control. We will develop the skills and strategies necessary for change and then work on applying them effectively in your life, helping you move beyond existing to more fully living your life.
